Terms of Service
Last updated October 8, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and HeyTalk when you use heytalk.site or the HeyTalk app. By signing in or using HeyTalk you accept them. If you use HeyTalk for an organisation, you accept them on its behalf.
1. The service
HeyTalk records or accepts conversations, transcribes them, extracts summaries, tasks and follow-ups, lets you ask questions about what was said, and can send results to tools you connect such as Slack, Notion and Jira. We may add, change or remove features over time.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 and able to form a binding contract.
- You sign in with Google and are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us promptly at support@heytalk.site if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Recording responsibly
You are responsible for recording lawfully. Many places require the consent of everyone in a conversation before it is recorded. Before recording anyone, you must tell them and obtain any consent the law requires. Use HeyTalk’s consent tools to record who agreed.
You must not use HeyTalk to secretly record people, or to record conversations you have no right to record.
4. Your content
You own what you record, upload and type (“your content”), and what HeyTalk extracts from it. You give us permission to host, process and transmit your content only as needed to provide HeyTalk to you, including through the providers listed in our Privacy Policy.
You confirm you have the rights needed to give us that permission. We do not use your content to train our own AI models.
5. AI output
Transcripts, summaries, tasks, due dates, contradiction notices and answers are generated automatically and can be incomplete or wrong. Review them before relying on them, especially for anything legal, medical, financial or otherwise important. You can correct or reject what HeyTalk extracts.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone’s privacy or intellectual property;
- upload malware, or attempt to access other people’s data or our systems without permission;
- overload, scrape, reverse-engineer or resell the service;
- use HeyTalk to harass, surveil or discriminate against anyone.
7. Connected apps
When you connect Slack, Notion or Jira, you authorise HeyTalk to act within the access you grant, and only when you press Send. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. You can disconnect at any time in Settings.
8. Plans and payment
HeyTalk has a free plan with monthly limits. If we offer paid plans, prices, billing periods and cancellation terms will be shown before you pay, and paid features stay available until the end of the period you paid for.
9. Data retention and deletion
Audio is deleted once transcribed. Conversations are deleted automatically after 90 days, or sooner when you delete them, and deletion cannot be undone. Keep your own copy of anything you need longer, for example by sending it to Notion. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
10. Suspension and ending
You can stop using HeyTalk at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or to protect the service or other people; where reasonable we will tell you first.
11. Disclaimers
HeyTalk is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its output will be accurate.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, HeyTalk is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or lost data, profits or business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹5,000. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. For material changes we will update the date above and let you know in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use HeyTalk after that means you accept the updated terms. Questions? Email support@heytalk.site.
